These NSN'd military issued folding knives by world-famous American knife maker Ontario Knife Company are getting hard to find. Genuine Military issue equipment, OKC designed these knives to be ultra-robust, light-weight and ready for combat deployment. The Ontario XTREME MILITARY "XM" Series knives feature a robust design and overbuilt construction. With a handle that is designed to feel similar to a fixed blade in the hand, these knives provide the perfect balance between heavy-duty performance and ultra-lightweight materials. The OKC XM-1 has a straight / plain blade style with a bead-blasted satin finish. The OKC XM-1S has a combination blade, also with a bead-blasted satin finish. The Combination blade offers a fine razors edge more than capable for most cutting or scrapping purposes, and a serrated edge when a heavier cutting is required.

The XM-2TS features a black satin finish Teflon coated combination blade. This combat issued 3.375 blade features cryo-quenched Bohler N690 Cobalt enhanced stainless steel which provides excellent corrosion resistance while still maintaining excellent edge retention and ease of re-sharpening. The modified spear head tip is an excellent choice for self-defence or hand-to-hand combat requirements. The deployment thumb stud is easily located and manipulated on an extension of the blade near the hilt.

There is a cosmetic linear cut at the top of the blade that reduces overall weight without compromising strength or durability. Scales / handles are precision machined aircraft aluminium and feature titanium liner locks. The over-sized aircraft-grade aluminium handle has several grooves to enhance grip, and to allow fluids to drain in the event conditions get wet or bloody.

There is a well cut finger groove for the forefinger, and the hilt angles outward to provide good protection from the users hand sliding. The XM series knives use skeletonized titanium liner locks for superior durability & strength without adding weight. The OKC XM series knives feature a pocket clip attached with (4) micro, hexagon bit screws, and can be mounted ambidextrously with tip down and deep-carry style. There is also a lanyard hole in the event the knife user is going to attach the XM knife to a gear bag, rather than carry it on their person. XM-2TS is an enhanced tactical version of the Extreme Military series of combat-ready knives.

Slightly lighter and slightly smaller handle width reduces both size & weight. Scales, blade and all metallic surfaces are finished in Black satin Teflon coating for increased durability, corrosion resistance and easy cleaning. Manufactured in Italy by Ontario Knife Company.
